Johnson Brothers Friendly Village for Thanksgiving

Vintage Friendly Village Place Setting

Vintage Friendly Village Place Setting

Are you checking your dinnerware to see if you need any new pieces for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday dinner? Do you have new family members coming this year which means more place settings are needed? Or are you changing to a new pattern this year and still collecting the pieces you need? Johnson Brothers Friendly Village has been a perennial favorite since it was first introduced in the 1950′s.

This popular pattern by Johnson Brothers is nice for both Thanksgiving and Christmas with its brown transferware pattern highlighted with red and green accents.  At AuntJanesAttic there is large selection of dinnerware pieces in the Friendly Village pattern – dinner plates with a red schoolhouse in the snow, teacups and saucers with a snow-covered ice house, cereal bowls and square salad plates with a snowy red covered bridge, bread and butter plates showing a snowy maple grove, red sugar buckets hanging from the sugar maples – all combine for a comfortable, down-home table setting.

I like it so much that I like to use it through-out the entire winter holiday season. It is a great everyday pattern that is a little bit fancy – but not so elegant that you are afraid to use it.

Whether you are looking for a few more pieces, or need quite a few place settings, check out AuntJanesAttic – we have a lot!
